Valerie V:            Hi, guys. Valerie V Show. And in one second, I am going to show you a method that eliminates procrastination and earns you more money. Oh, one second.

Hi, guys. Valerie V Show. And of course, you know I have mentors and you probably have mentors. Well, my mentor has taught me something that I’ve enjoyed so far and has kept me from procrastinating and will help me see my goals, my visions, my mission come true. It will help me move forward faster but it’s all about taking little baby steps.

So I’m going to show you what some people would call a vision board but it’s much more than that. It’s about goal setting but then breaking that down into what can I do this week to get toward that goal and what can I do in the next 14 days to get to that goal or the next 30 days. So what we do is we start with a vision board or a set of goals that are one year, three year, and five years out. So I’m going to show you mine. They may or may not be your goals, of course. They’re my goals for the next one year, three year, five year. But then I broke it down into what I can do in the next seven days. And I’m going to cross some of those things off on my list, so here we go.

Okay, so here is my vision board. And I created this in July of 2018. In fact, I just created this in the last two weeks and this is an exercise I learned from some of the mentors that I follow. So my one-year goals, my three-year goals, and my five-year goals. And these aren’t anything crazy. I can make them much crazier. But these are my true goals for the next one year, three year, five years.

Get operation. In one year, I want to have operations for LTCEP organized and efficient which we’re already on the way to. Create more videos and grow my audience to 10,000. I think that’s reasonable in a year. Earn $50,000 more personally. That’s probably setting my bar kind of low. I should probably set that higher. Take another great vacation with the whole family, maybe Universal Studios or somewhere more exotic. I would love to do that. And the most crazy goal on my whole one-year list is to lose 50 pounds.

Now, I’ve been saying that for a long time but if I break that down into little bitty bites, I could probably get that accomplished a lot faster. So my three-year goals. Be in a position in the business to hire a videographer full time, delegate all of my day to day in business tasks to someone else. Focus on marketing video and speaking. Write another book. Branch out to other niches besides home care, maybe still in healthcare.

Five-year goals. Start another business. I don’t know what that looks like. I don’t even know if I want to start another business but it would be kind of cool. Buy a home with a masters’ suite on the main level. It doesn’t need to be huge, just more senior-friendly thinking ahead for me and Charley as we get older and can’t go up and down the steps as much. And be able to afford another car or two for the girls, they will be 16 in five years. I have three 11-year-olds. What am I going to do about cars, college, and all that stuff?

So these are my one-year, three-year, and five-year goals. But here’s what I can do in the next seven days, if I break it down, 30 days and 90 days. So in the next seven days I need to finish my operations guide on Google Drive to put to the best of my ability, prior to my teams’ input get it 80% finished using what I call the EOS system which is entrepreneurial operating system.

Make two to three videos on Monday for a week of shows. Have fun at the Holiday World with the family. We can cross that one off, we just cut back. And we can cross make two to three videos on Monday. We can cross that off. Get house ready for GMA visit. GMA is grandma [Joea 00:04:00]. I still have a ways to go on that. Lose two pounds. I haven’t done that yet. 30 minutes on bike every day that we are home. I did that, now I have to start that back up today. We were gone for like two or three days.

In 30 days I want to have a team meeting on August 14, 15, and 16. Get operations in order and virtual meetings. Solidify a visit for the company and the one-year, three-year, five goals for the company. Girls, get ready for school starting August 8th. Clean the girls’ room, donate clothes that don’t fit. We’re on our way to doing that. Lose five pounds, very doable, and 30 minutes on the bike every day that we’re home.

90 days. Monthly state of business meetings with all the staff. Start score-card reporting for everyone. Integrate writers in to mission and vision. Bonuses for all based on performance and contribution. Increase sales by 20%. Lose 10 pounds and 30 minutes on the bike every day that we’re home.

So all of these things are very doable, small bites, small chunks. If you take the time to write out your visions and your goals and your wishes for the next one year, three year, five year and then narrow it down to seven days, 30 days, 90 days, you’ll be much more able to get these things done without procrastinating.

So on my seven-day list, let’s hit escape, I can cross off this. So we’ll just make it blue. We had fun at Holiday World. I can cross that one off. Still got to get ready grandma. Still got to lose two pounds, and I still got to do 30 minutes on the bike for every day that we’re home although, I did do that. And I think I have finished my operations guide. I have to go back and look at it but I’m going to say that. So I have two more things I need to do. But that’s not too bad for the first seven days.

Okay, now I can move … keep these on my seven-day list and start a new seven-day list. So every seven days, you just update this one. Every 30 days you update this middle column, and every 90 days you update this third column. Little bitty bites. I hope that helps you. It certainly is helping me.
